Blower motor clarification please...

This morning I started the car, and noticed no air blowing. The auto climate controls work, I searched, ran the diagnostic, no failures. With the windows cracked, I can feel the AC cool the air, and the heater warm it, though it's just a passing breeze, not generated by the fan itself.

In searching, I also found that the 00-02ish Pathfinders MAY use the same unit. Has anyone confirmed this? Autozone has a blower motor for the Pathy listed at 87.00, nothing for the Maxima/I35. I have an 02 I35 by the way. The dealer wants 185.00, and searching for used is coming up empty.

Any info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Not sure if this helps you, but when I did the blower moter in my 2k max, I went to the junk yard, and the only thing I could find was one in a 98 altima, but I did not get it because the plug was angled different then mine, so I assumed it would not fit.
That same day I got a quote from one of those online used parts searches, for a blower for $40 shipped...
Well when I got it, it was the same on I could have taken off the altima at the junk yard.... and it fit perfectly!!
So I would say that it's very likely that the pathfinder will fit.

Have you ascertained that a fuse or relay isn't keeping the fan from blowing?

I did check the fuse on the interior for AC, it was good though I replaced it anyway. Is there a specific relay or fuse under the hood I should check?

There should be a blower motor relay somewhere but I couldn't tell you where it is.

I found the under hood fuses and relay associated with the blower motor. Swapped all, no better. Does anyone know if the 2000 and 2002 use the same blower motor? If so I'll go for the Altima one mentioned above.

Yes, I found one fuse for AC, wasn't bad but replaced it anyway. Still didn't work.
