Skyline Headlights

I'm thinking about getting some r34 hls and having them molded onto my body kit when I install it, however I wanted to know if the electrical system will give me any probs since these are off of a diff car and not a Maxima. Anyone know?

to be honest, i have thought of this as well...because the headlights seem to be similar in shape. as far as the wiring would go, im sure you could make it work. from what i saw of the skyline headlights they have seperate high and low beams like us, but the signal and driving light are the same light, so you may have to just have a signal light in the front, no driving light.

a decent shop could probably get those in there with minimal body modifications...if you look at a skyline light, the lines really arent that far off from our headlights.

My friend tossed this idea in my head, and now I want to do this. It kinda sux tho since I recently bought a HID kit for the oem lights, anyway could I salvage the HID kit and use it for the skyline ones? Prolly not right?

If no anyone want to buy a HID kit lol :P

i've wanted to do this for a very long time, but good luck finding a set of those headlights for under $1000 - and that's for the non-HID ones.

Yeah, I'd call that an upgrade.

Actually KMC582 You are right to a point. If you look at the pic, there is a separate light for the low and high beam just like you mentioned which is similar to the 5.5 gen maximas, but the parking light is on the outer side of the headilght cluster just next to the low beam. Most likely it uses a 168 bulb (12V 5W) just like the 5.5 gen maxes. The front trun signals as you can see are located in the front bumper and this only comes on when you use your turn signals. I have seen this car in person with the lights on so that's how I know. Not in the US of course, but in another country.

My recommendation would be to have the skyling parking light converted into a front trun signal and parking light then you would have a similar setup to the 5 gen 00 or 01 maximas. But since you have a 5.5 gen and there is a separate light for the park light and trun signal use the wiring from your maxima's trun signal and make the skyline's parking light a trun signal and then create a city light in the high beam cluster which can be done two ways. 1. Dirll a hole or 2. Buy a city light kit which can be just attached just below the high beams whit no drilling or other modifications. The second option might be easier and reduces mods like cutting and splicing wires etc. Just my 02 cents.

Yeah but what about with 2k1s? I know for sure I would need to install another harness. I looked online and didn't find any headlights. except some s15 spec r aero lights. I think those are sweeter, but again same concept right?

I used to own a skyline when I lived in Japan =0 They are great cars..

Wow I didn't even say I was going to sell it for sure and already got requests..It's like tossing a corpse in a desert.

Really? I'm serious lol I really did own one..The only reason why I say it was ok was because parking was over 500 a month and I had to leave it there =\..Besides that it left me wondering why Nissan is sofa king stupid at not bringing it here. But that's beside the point, this seems idea seems like a huge hassle.

They have since 2003. It's called the G35 (or Skyline 350GT in Japan).

Well I wanted to make sure it can be done. It never hurts to double check. And so far it looks like no one from here at least, has even attempted such a task.

Anything can be done. But you are looking at a considerable of front bumper/grille/fender/hood modification in order to get this done. I would cite an early astimate at AT LEAST $2000 for all of the bodywork and repainting to make this fit. Would it look great? HELL YES.

...but this would be nothing short of an absurdly expensive project for headlights alone.
