Okay, I was using some of that Meguiars vinyl and rubber sine and got some overspray onto the plastic face on the clock. I didnt pay any attention to it, and now its stained the plastic so it looks faded and fogged. how can i get it off? there are no part numbers for just the plastic face, and im not paying 200.00 for a new clock all together. I have tried citrus products, and denatured alcohol. any other suggestions or ideas?

thanx!

Plastic Polish

Check out Meguiar's website. They have a plastic polish product (No. 17) that's supposed to remove hairline scratches, etc. I've never tried it - maybe someone else has...?

this is a long shot but you could try a clay bar. it depends what type of damage the other stuff did. If it etched the plastic than I think you're out of luck but if its sitting on the surface it should take it off.

RE- Plastic cleaner wax

As stated above Meguiars and Zaino Bros make plastic polish cleaners. Both of these products should restore the plastic finish to original condition. I use the Zaino product Z-14 and it does a good job of cleaning and polishing plastic in the instrument panel, radio display and heater display. These plastics are very soft and scratch easily when using regular cleaners. Good luck!

Waxshop

Run over to Pepboys and buy Waxshops Safecut plexiglass cleaner and polish......it is extremely gentle and I have personally used it for multiple years on a plexiglass amp rack when something damaged the finish.
