The grill is embedded into the front bumper. The grill ordered is probably and insert or overlay and not a direct replacement.

Grille

The grille and front bumper are one piece on the 5th Gen. The Speed Grille is just that, a grille that you can install fast, with little or no cutting necessary. I believe that it installs directly over the stock grille. The rest of the information is on the "Grille" thread.
