Which muffler?

I am going to change the muffler on my 2000 Max, but I do not want one that is very loud. I do want it to sound like it's got power, but I just want a nice, throaty tone. Any suggestions? I will be changing the entire system from the Cat, and back. What should I do with the resonator?

I'm thinking of a greddy SP2 for a muffler, providing they're not loud.

if you don't have a y-pipe or headers...

cattman rear muffler section FTW!

I have the Cattman system from the FastCatt back, I couldn't be happier with its tone.

If i were to pick up the greddy, and I more than likely will, should I use the stock resonator, or get an aftermarket one?

Get a Cattman Cat-Back, really nice tone and not to loud. I had one till I got my Headers and thats when it got to loud...

It looks really good, it is Stainless Steel and you cannot get better fit, quality and customer Service than Cattman.

The Greddy will not fit your stock B-Pipe (resonator), Cattman will.

A good friend of mine runs a muffler shop here, so I was going to get him to build the cat back system, so I would like to know if I can still use the resonator from the b-pipe, or should I get an aftermarket one?

you couldn't have said it any better....

I also had the cattman catback with stock intake and stock headers....sounded really nice...it isn't too loud for daily driving and you will get compliments since its nice and mellow...

if you plan to add headers, consider selling it becuz it will get REAL LOUD...its bareable don't get me wrong...but after awhile it gets annoying

PM Joel aka Puppetmaster. He has Cattman headers (y pipe inclueded) and had the Cattman catback as well. He just replaced the muffler with a FC version to keep the noise level down.
