I've never heard of any off the shelf cams, not enough demand,.. You would probably have to decide what you wanted and get one custom ground. I'm assuming if you knew what lift/duration you wanted that you could order a set of them. A quick call to comp cams would clear up alot of your questions on availiability.

Custom cams really aren't all that much more expensive. Usually a hundred dollars more give or take...Like I said comp cams would have more info.

The question is would you really want a loob in a Nissan? Or better yet would you really want to spend all that time swapping cams for a few HP? Maybe 20
Keep in mind with the VIAS you would potentially have to alter your intake/exhaust to allow for larger lift/longer duration. Plus would you have to do any valve work, replace vavle covers to allow the parts to fit, etc.
Souping up a Nissan isn't really in my to do list, but that's only my biased opinion. Many others have done it.

I think Stillen was selling them at one point, they were $6xx. NOT one hundered or so.

In addition to the cost of the cams, installaion don't come cheap with them either. Great addition to have, but the cost...

The work alone on the cam in my Mustang was something like $250 (maybe less, maybe more, it's been a while). I'm not saying that a Nissan cam would cost that much to grind but you have to remember, you've got more of them than a 5.0 as well... Wouldn't a better option be sticking a 300ZX set in there? Does anyone know if they are the same or will fit? Have you looked in the All Motor section?

I think he meant that the cams custom built were only 100 or so more than the pre-fabbed ones...

I agree. I never said they were one in the same... I asked if anyone knew if they would fit.

Wrong fellas. You CAN buy off the shelf cams from JWT for around $1100.

Honestly the best mod you can do for your car with cams and other bolt ons is to get yourself a Emanage ultimate to tune the car w/. Many people have seen significant gains w/ tunning. Google it for more info
