Anyone have the Paradox LED mirror covers installed on their 5th gen with pics?

Hey guys, I'm seriously considering going with the Paradox LED mirror covers and just wondering if anyone had installed these and has pics on their 5th gen, also impressions of fit and installation, thanks

I know there's been a few sets sold back forth through the ORG so someone must have installed these! or are they just sitting in everyone's "to do" closet? Mine is empty right now

you could go with custom setup like pri63.

it think thats a pretty nice setup - maybe you could use some brighter and whiter leds?

I was thinking about that some time ago but after seeing some pictures (sorry don't remember where) I didn’t like the finish not to mention that to mount you'll have to 3M tape and knowing life if you ever change your mind your OEM mirror covers will be ruined. I'm still waiting for a better option.

Honestly I think the mirror covers are pretty good. I'm a perfectionist with my car and I decided they fit well enough to buy. However, I've had them a year and haven't gotten around to painting them. I do have pics of someone else's 4th gen with them installed and they look very good, even space all around.

I am sorry but the end of the led strip looks very abrupt and not very flush. I think design wise the jdm ones look the most "natural" and professionl but I share the same concern for the 3m backing.

They're not absolutely perfect but only OEM is truly perfect, with very few exceptions.

Here are the ones from Japan. Much better stock looking than the Paradox ones. Not sure where you can buy these in the U.S., though.

This is why youcan use jdm in this situation. Japan like most everything were the first to poineer this technology (some early toyota soarers etc). It was soon picked up by mercedes and then the led mirror crazy exploded. But you are right other than a few exceptions you cant use jdm in reference to a maxima since they dont exsist in Japan they are a US market only car. In reference to the "thats so you can see them from the side. these were originaly designed for saftey...not to look cool" THat has nothing to do with what I am talking about. I am talking about how flush teh led sits in the shell housing. It looks very abupt and kinda half put together. As I said before they are abupt and mess with the lines of the car. As you can see in later posts how smooth and professional the "jdm" aftermarket shells look in comparision.

Well thanks for the pics guys, the Japan ones look nice, but if you can't get them here might as well forget about them. Jury is still out on the Paradox one's , well for me anyway, but I would still like more opinions from owners!

Wow, those "JDM" ones are hideous. That oval light strip and the curves are feminine looking and don't work with the style of the car. Might work on a Celica or or something, but not on a Maxima. The Paradox covers match the style of the car they're going on.

I would agree the "jdm" ones supplied are horendious. But also the other ones I do not think follow the lines of the car. The 5.5 gen as our curious shopper here has contains all smooth lines. These headlights (the first ones supplied) are very sharp lines and boxy everything the 5th gen is not. I think they would look fine on a 4th gen max or infiniti. But for the 5th gen max they break all the lines on the car.

There are many options out there for mirrors you just have to do some digging. If you get some just dont get these beasts of uglyness

I had them on my maxima...they look good but are really bad quality.

Even after applying extra silicon, they still had condensation. Alot of ppl suffer with this issue w/ those covers

Hey Igor911 did you sell the Max? And is that your new ride?

MAXRB8 If you have a hard time getting the right fit for the LED mirrors then another option you could try is to simply rewire the front side markers to come on with your blinkers like I did.

A few months ago I was thinking of getting those LED shells, but they were overpriced and you had to paint them the match the color of your car and I was'nt sure about the fit and the bottom line is that I really was going for the looks I just wanted a light at the side of the car when I was used my turn signals and drilling any holes in the fenders to install a light was definitely not an option.

One things that I always wander is why the side signal light on most foreign cars are eliminated when they make the US spec models. Most of the European cars have them in the US, but not too many Japanese cars.

Which ones are you talking about, Paradox, eBay, or "JDM"?

And where were you getting the condensation? Inside the plastic lens?

Paradox, ebay and ect...are all the same

They all prolly get them from the same manufacturer. The condensation is in the lens.
