Instrument panel/Gauge Cluster swappable?

Are all 5th Gen gauge clusters swappable? Plug & play?

I’m looking into getting the 2001 AE, 2002, or 2003 gauge cluster in my 2000.

What about traction control? Will gauges without traction control work in max’s with TC?

I believe the 2k-2k1's are the same, but the wiring is different on the 2k2-2k3's. The 2k2-2k3's have extra wiring and sensors compared to the 2k-2k1's. You would have to have both service manuals to compare the wiring. As far as the TC, a guage cluster without it will just work as any cluster, but without the feature.

It won't effect my TC at all right? I'll still be able to switch it on/off, it just wont show anything on the instrument panel.

I doubt it would affect it all. Yeah, the instrument panel is just a signal to let you know it's on or off. I would double check the service manual just in case if the wiring is "daisy-chained" where it may feed of of the instrument panel to keep the TC active.

I have seen a 01 ae swap on a 00. The only thing is when you are looking for one you have to remember that they store the milage so you need to get one that is close to yours in milage. The extra wiring for the 02-03 might be for hte outside temp reading it has etc. Just my .02
