Possible a projector headlight that takes HID.???

Has anyone looked into this? Chech this out... They have projector headlights that sell w/ an HID kit fro $1600, and then they have just the projector headlights for $520?! I've never seen them so expensive and these are by Anzo? Has anyone looked into this? What do you think?

if i read that correctly, it said that the projectors with HID's are $1600 each, not for a pair.

This is a noob style question but arent projector headlights the same things as halos, and angel eyes?

AKA a lit ring that goes around the headlight?

They cheat soooo bad on that deal, they probably give you 2 halo headlights and a taiwanese HID kit.

I took a look at the company website that makes those - ACA. I have seen the HID unitis they make for bikes, they are DOT complient, come w/ all wiring, ballasts, bulbs and probally use a Valeo D1S projector like their other product.

The price on those is ridiculus though, for the price of a single headlight you can buy enough materials to do 2 high quality retrofits and still have a little money left over

here is a another site that has them cheaper http://www.spitzkraft.com/detail.php?item=7
$1000 is not that bad, if you consider the price of making up a identicle unit yourself, w/ all new parts
$240 - new ebay projector housings
$350 - new osram D1S ballasts and bulbs
$250 - new valeo D1S projectors
$50 - materials for harness and misc hardware

$890 total

It looks like those have a different set of projector lenses

I like the fact that the ones dr. roy posted up came w/ a list of everything it came with and the fact it had a 3 year warantee.

seems like they're just reselling the ebay headlights and throwing in some kind of hid kit =/ what a rip off! with that kind of money you can get a set of 02-03 headlight/hid set PLUS retrofit in some nice *** projectors and will outperform those on that site lol

i think its a typo.. by each they mean EACH KIT... which has 2 headlights, 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts..

but i think these are like those EBAY lights except the ebay lights specifically state that thay are not designed for HID lights, and we'd have to forfeit the HID for the projectors.. Thesee obviously except out HID kit.. hmm.. $500 some dollars, thats not too bad if you think about it. These w/ a crappy projector are around $250 on ebay.. plus labor and new projectors, come out to more $. Maybe we can arrange a group buy?

No, a projector is simply that glass ball you see. The halo/angel eyes are the rings that started on BMWs and then every Civic wanted it too. Hence, most projector headlights on eBay already come with a crappy angel eye setup.

You can retrofit projectors into ANY housing. It just takes some ingenuity and skill

If they are going to sell these headlights, they should a least describe:

- what kind of projectors it has ei bosch, stanley, etc
- type of bulbs and ballasts ei D2S, H3, etc.
- pics of beam pattern

We are serious consumers looking for quality products at an inexpensive price. If they can't back the products they sell then it's not worth the time and the money. My two pennies.

i asked if they were real xenon projectors retrofited in the headlights but the guy says he didn't kno and don't think so. so basically it's those ebay headlights with some hid kit popped in there =/

If you are interested in doing a retrofit Dr. Roy has a writeup I believe on doing it into 5th gen headlight housings. There is a company that will do a projector retrofit into 5.5 generation headlamps for roughly 500 I believe. That is with a TL projector retrofit which is a stanley projector and includes shroud and labor. I am not sure if that came with bulbs or not. It is Custom Lightz they do quality work and have many options to me if you are not skilled enough to do the retrofit yourself then consult them. Many people have dabled into retrofits in her just search around. If they are done right they look amazing.
