Just had my 15000 service
Just came back from my 15000 service after about 2.5 hours and the total price was 284, it had the allignment and balance included but i didn't expect this price, do any of you guys do their service at the dealer?
They said i had a slight angle that wasn't correct then i decided to do it so i wouldn't worn my tires, so i just did it, they also said that if i come to every service in their book at the correct millage they will extend my warrnty to like a 100,000 or 75,000 miles.

I can't believe how many people actually take there cars to the dealer for "so called" inspections a trained chimp can perform. wheel alignment - give me a break. Unless you slammed over a curb why would a car need an alignment at 15k or for that matter 50K miles??
I had my 89 SE for 11 years and had zero (0) maintainance done at the dealer. Changing oil, filter, air filter, fuel filter, pcv valve and plugs is a no brainer (not to mention coolant). You can look over the cv boots and exhaust once in a while.
Besides that, how do you know unless you watch that an alignment is actually done?
This is pure gravy for the dealers plus you get the added benefit of misc. scratches and grease smudges in and on your car.
Take $75 of the $250+ you spent, buy some simple hand tools and learn your car. Your warantee won't be voided, just keep reciepts for fluids purchased and a log book.
