..Budget Y-Pipe Owners Step Inside..

What are your thoughts with the Budget Y Pipe?

Can you feel the gains (if any)?

Do you smell burnt gasoline in your car (have you ever) since the y pipe install?

Recommend or not?

Thanks

I am very pleased with my Budget Y-Pipe which I am running with just my Place Racing Intake which is currently in the warm air setup

I definitely felt gains once I reset the ECU (unplug battery for awhile) and waited a few days and ever since (in mid-upper rpm range)

I haven't smelled burnt gasoline since the y pipe install.

Had one on my 4th Gen great power gains, can't beat the bang for buck, but I think that pertains to any y pipe on a 3.0. I did develope "bees in the can" after approx 1 year but I was def a minority on that score. If you can get install under $100 I'd pay as old heated and rusted bolts are a B*^&h to get off, most of mine had to be heat burn't off!. Good luck.

Cattman >> budget.

Pay a little extra for one that is better quality and gets no bees in a can.

i have installed one and the fitment was off. it didn't really line up on the manifolds and it rubbed against the tunnel. i would recomend a warpspeed. that's what i had till i did my headers(which have been a pain in the a$$, don't ask). the price was good, got it quick, and everything lined up. that's my .02

Budget Y-pipe has great gains. Quality is good and you are local so you can get it installed also. I got y and b-pipe done. After time though as someone mentioned, the "bee's in a can" sound will get annoying. I hate it, but love the gains.

No bees here and I've had my y-pipe for over 2 years, almost 3. I have a custom exhaust system so it helped with the noise. No smells, love the gain, and my car acutally has a throaty sound. Every meet I've been to the people loved the sound.

Sound is amazing!!!! Especially when accompanied with an intake. The bee's in the can go away but its there during pull off. Also I may add the quality on mine is great. 2 years and it is still shiney as the day I bought it, Well a bit has faded but not much at all.
