Cail spec Y pipe

Ok guys i have a cali spec car and i have a question about the front manifold's precat, if i gut it will there be any bad sideffects?

Is there any other way to convert from cali spec to fed spec other than changing the manifolds?

no.... you should just get headers.... too much restriction even if you knock out the precat....

Well i was infering that manifold = headers

I knocked out that precat but someone mentioned unequal back pressure because of that, i dont think it would matter, because even without kocking out the cats it would have unequal backpressure on the manifolds b/c its a cali.

how would it be uneven cause its Cali? You got two precats, now you will take out the left one - what does that equal to?

Nicks79 have you sceen the piping to the cali cars? Its not just regular piping, its about 4" across and then it reduces down into where its 2"ish piping on where you would install the "fed spec y pipe"
