If used leather seats oem are bought can they be directly swapped for the cloth seats in a 5.5 gen. If so, is it a easy diy or a shop has to do it?

Also, can g35 coupe seats be swapped into the 5.5 gen? I remember a while back someone mentioned it could be done.

Lastly, how costly would it be to add the whole meridian package onto the car. I was thinking that since my outside heated mirrors are activated by the climate control, the non-climate control maxes wouldn't be able to add the heated outside mirrors.


All these questions are being asked because I am thinking about swapping my 2k2 gle for a 2k3 te which I found for a great price. But my gle is fully loaded minus navi and the 2k3 te basically just has the te package, no meridian, no leather package, no tcs. O and the car is polished titanium color which is one of my favorites.

 

if you buy the WHOLE seat it's a direct swap, as long as you get a 5.5 gen for a 5.5 gen. Just remove old seats, and put new seats in... an hour worth of labor, tops, easy to do it yourself

If you get just the leather skins, it will be 10-12 hours of manual labor to get it swapped. You can either pay 500 dollars to get a shop to do it, or you can save all that money and DIY, its not that hard.

I dunno about the meridian package or infinity seats.

Thanks for the response. I am planning to buy the whole seat so thats great news that its only an hour. Also, do you know whether all the 5.5 gens have the same power seats regardless of cloth or leather. I mean like 8(?) for driver and 4(?) for passenger.

I would love it if I can get those g35 seats in there thats would be awesome. I remember there was a i30 i think '98 on here that did it so Im pretty sure its do-able. I'm just wondering how much time/money is involved in the process if it can be done.

 

you can swap seats with the rails or just the cushions if you want. if you need some leatehr setas i have a set of black leather heated seats from a 5.5 gen for sale.

 

I am interested in buying your black leather seats. Do you have the back seats too? How about the leather inserts for the door panels?

 

i dont have the door inserts but i have the front and back seats. front are both powered and heated but i am selling the front without the rails. all you need to do is remove and replace the cushions.

 

I'm glad you are only selling the cushions for the front...it will save on shipping. By the way, how much are you asking for the whole set front and rear? I would like a shipped price if possible. I live in 87111.

You have a buyer for your black leather cushions...but you won't ship them? I thought you were just trying to clear space in your basement or something. If you have a buyer who is willing to pay for the shipping and you need to get rid of the stuff to make room...why are you being so stubborn?

I still need some black leather seats in good condition, and your pictures on your for sale ad looked good. You should really reconsider your position. I am determined to get them whether its with you or someone else.
