cattman catback

Just got my cattman catback installed, and I was wondering if it will get louder as time goes on? I didnt want a annoying ricey sound but this is just bearly louder than stock and was thinking it would get louder if I step on it. You hear my intake more than anything else. Also did anyone else get the two brackets that held up the mid section of the exhaust put back on since the piping is 2.5" now?

Would adding a y-pipe make it louder?

if you really want loud...then get cattman headers....the catback by itself isn't that loud....but for sure the headers will satisfy your tastes

IMO, if you don't want it too loud, then just stick with the stock muffler and replace the exhaust manifolds and Y-pipe.

i just have the cattman muffler and I my intake was louder than it. Once I took my intake out all i hear now is the muffler...a low growling sound (louder than OEM) I love it. especially at WOT.

my cattman y pipe and catback is pretty loud after 14 months or so, with an intake. i cant honestly say it has gotten louder, but it definitley hasnt gotten quieter. the y pipe made it louder as well, but yes headers are the way to go for the best sound, IMO.

hopefully burnurass will post in here, he heard my car and its not loud, but its definitley not quiet either, especially under even light acceleration.

yeah i heard kasey's car.... it's not that loud...but not quiet.
When you first start it up...it sounds like a bmw inline 6. lol
When you get on it...yuo can HEAR IT for sure...but when yuo're just idling...it's very quiet. It has a little bit of drone on the highway..but nothing that is untolerable. I just have the rear section so i'll see how loud it is compared to his setup soon.

I got full cattman exhaust, I mean B-pipe and the muffler section with Berk intake, but no y-pipe. The sound is awsome, louder (more deeper sound) under heavier accelerations than just the cattman muffler alone, but sounds pretty much the same in normal driving.
Ohhh yeah and I did only take off the little silver bracket that was holding the b-pipe. Had to take that off, cause if was rattling against the muffler. The big black one closer to the front sitting good though.

Yeah, I may have to do that. I don't mind it being a little louder (Max is '03 GLE so it is really quiet), but I was trying to avoid any "swarm of angy bees" sound that sometimes results from moding the exhaust.

Hey you're from Tulsa, and so am I. Do you want to hear my cattman catback exhaust? hehe We all should meet up in Tulsa over this summer, and check out our rides.

Forgot to mention that I have the Cattman Y-Pipe as well and I am still surprised how quiet it has turned out to be.

The guy who put mine on didnt put either of the brackets on. Said the pipe was too big. Also did you get different hangers. People always talk about them but I have yet to hear my exhaust rattle around.

No the black bracket will fit there with no problems, the silver one is the one that touches the pipes and needed to be taken off cause of the rattles. Right now no rattles what so ever, and the hangers are good that the cattman comes with. Just make sure the exhaust is installed properly, sometimes the pipes can touch the outside walls and rattle, sometimes even burn the anti-rust foam cause of uneven installation (that happens where the b-pipe and muffler section connect).
