I have them. They are not HID. There has been many threads regarding whether to get them or not. The projectors are not very bright (h3) bulb. The hid kits wil not fit.

If you want great light output, you could get those assemblies, and then retrofit HID projectors into them. It would be a little bit of work and take some time. But the output on a well done retro is well worth it.

Headlights aren't clearcoated. Go to detailing forum, there is a How-to clean headlights.

I've heard a lot of bad things about those ebay projectors...i.e. bad light output. I would suggest do the AE mod and get the plug and play HID kit in thr GD section. The foggy headlights can be cleaned up with some plastic polish.

Projectors work with HID Kit

I didn't buy it because I don't have the money right now.
Buy the HID kit from Custom Enterprise 12000K Extreme Ultraviolet for $579

Maxima Projector Headlights with Stock bulb on left and 12000K HID on right

Just so you know, 12,000k provides LESS light output than a 4100k HID bulb.

4100k (crystal white) is closest to real sunlight, and the higher the kelvin rating you buy, the deeper the color of the light (look at a kelvin scale)...I know for a fact that 12,000k HIDs do not illuminate as well as a 4100k HID at night, but the purple-ish color is cool looking though.

My car's projectors do not have HID. I simply replaced the stock bulbs that came with the projectors to a better pair for $60. On back of the box it said 4300k blue. I know its not HID. The reason I wan't to put back the original headlights is because with these projectors I can't see the road good at night unless I turn on the yellow foglights.
