Just bought Eibachs and Illuminas So PUMPED!
So today I was looking to buy Tokico Illuminas and H&R springs. After about 3 or 4 calls I finally found a place that had Illuminas in stock and ready to ship. I had heard they went for 438 shipped in the past on ebay but the best the guy could do was 448 so I went for it seeing how they were the only one who had them in stock. Then today I started lookin for H&Rs but couldent find them from a place that had them in stock. I knew at one point I wanted to try the Eibachs but planned to get the H&Rs. So I started lookin for the Eibachs to see if I could find them for a good price. ANyway I found a guy selling Eibachs on ebay for 100$. He said he had them on his car for 6 months but just sold his car so he has no use for them. Good thing is that hes located in boston so there shouldent be any reason I shouldent be able to drive there and pick the up and pay him in cash. Even if I dont like them because they ride too hard I can most likely sell them off for the same price and get the H&Rs anyway.
I should get the Eibachs in the next couple days (whenever the guy gets back to me through ebay) And the illuminas should be here by early next week right in time to put in once I get my car back from getting the SFCs fabricated.
So Eibachs and Illuminas for 550$ today. I think it was a good day!

Care to share which site?
Its too late for me to recoupe my cost but I am sure many others would like to know where you can get them for this price.
It was this website
http://www.coximports.com/TOK-BB3188
But I just found out that the link I put in my favorites only had 1 rear shock. So 396 was for the two fronts and only 1 rear shock. When you add 2 rear shocks it comes to 498.50. Sorry about that, my fault. didnt mean to make you feel bad after all that hard work you did on ebay lol
Prices change often as well so one website could have a good price for a month and than go up again.
BTW when I ordered my H&Rs about 3 years ago, the best place I found online was place:

btw, does anyone know what is the difference between the two Tokicos on this page? one says "Tokico Illumina Adjustable Struts", and the other one "Tokico Illumina Series Adjustable Strut Cartridges".
The one with the strut cartridges is more money.
http://www.sportcompactonly.com/products.aspx?c=172&l=2
and I've found this on ebay, 433 shipped.

For 100$ I had to try them. If I went with the H&Rs I would always be wondering if I should have tried the stiffer springs. If I dont like them cause they are too stiff I could always sell them off for the same price I got them or close to it and still get the H&Rs.
I am psyched my car should handle amazing. In thes 2 weeks I've already done or am going to do,
FSTB, RSB, Eibach springs, Illuminas, and SFCs
Thats getting it done right and all together.
Only waiting on the LTB (which I hate to wait for) because I know at some point soon I'll want headers.
This waiting for my car while the SFCs get done sucks ***.. I am gettin stir crazy
I had no idea there were catridges available for 5th gens. 3rd gens require cartridges for the fronts. It means cutting the top off the strut housing, gutting out the piston, seals/valves, and oil. Then you insert the cartridge and cap off the top. It's not fun, but easy to do if u got the right tools.
edit: if you read their description, it says: Strut cartridges were developed as replacements for rebuildable struts.
