Cutting Bumpstops does this sound right?

Eibach installation instructions for my springs say to cut the bumpstops 30mm in the front and 26 mm in the back. That seems like an awful lot. I dont know how thick the bumpstops are but 30mm is like an inch and a quarter.

The bumpstops are pretty thick. Once you take the suspension apart you'll see.

that's pretty normal. i cut about the same with h&rs, and einbach sit even lower. you will need that extra inch of travel with the drop.

you'll have to cut the bump stops or the struts/shocks will bottom out and not get the full suspension travel they need. plus it'll ride like crap if you dont and you hit them. you'll know when you do. i think just about every manufacturer instructs you to do so. i've done TEIN, Eibach, and a couple other brands i cant think of and all suggested this. no fear. you'll see that the stock bump stop is usually 3"+ so there will be plenty left over.

Does anyone know how much one would have to cut of the bumpstops with Maxspeed springs installed?
