Tein SS installed...

well, got up today at 6:30am to install my coilover kit. I was surprised how well the kit is made and also how well it fits the OEM mounts. Took me a while to take off rear shocks because the bottom 17mm bolts were tight as hell, i barely got them off.

Impression:

to tell you the truth the thing that surprised me the most is the softness of these coilovers. They are 16 way adjustable and i started out my drive at 8 in front and back. at this setting they are a tiny bit harder than stock SE suspension. So i am guessing if i go down to 16 (haven't done that yet), it will be just as soft as OEM springs. At the hardest setting, it is noticeably harder, but still very comfortable. I cannot say anything about handling yet because i run hideous tires in the front, since i want to do my alignment brefore i put on my new rims. I am also wating for a Rear sway bar to come in and planning to order Blehm LTB II next week. So we'll discuss handling then...

Don't set it to full stiff, your shocks will wear out much quicker. If you drop it as low as it says in the manual both front and back should be set to 8. Increase the stiffness if you drop it lower. Set the shocks to a softer setting if you want to raise it.

yes, i will most likely leave it at the settings they suggest in the installation manual. that gives me about 2" drop in the front and 1.5" in the back. I will be running 19" rims, so the gap will be minimal...
