I got a new exhaust clip setup...most of you know I use to run the cattman exhaust setup...now I'm running the stock rear section...Maxboost925 currently has my Cattman muffler (hope your enjoying it)...anyway check out this vid and let me know what you think

Setup is the following: Apex-i Intake, Cattman Gen1 headers, Budget Test pipe, Cattman Bpipe, Stock rear section

frosty- yeah its a resonated bpipe...it would be much louder if it wasn't resonated...

n3985- yup...its hella raspy...oh well, its only in neutral while revving...driving in gear, its actually sounds alot better than revving it at stand still...sorta like your vid...you said yours sounded much better during driving?

and my headers will nevaarr! be yours!!

thats what i thought too...apparently not...but then again, I do have a straight pipe along with a bpipe...I hear some people say it sounds great with just the headers alone

it doesn't sound bad in gear however....

Why is it so loud, Andrew? I am running GAB, Hotshots, gutted cat, Warpspeed B-pipe, and stock muffler. My present setup sounds mean but subtle during start up, stock at idle, and noticably louder during WOT, but no near unbearable. When I was running the setup with the HKS (on cousin's car now), it droned a lot from 2k to 3k rpm and was really loud during WOT.

I'll post a sound clip when I find a digital camera that can record motion/sound.

Yeah the straight pipe and B pipe will make it louder but still I cant imagine they make it that much louder with the stock mufflers. I'm a little surprised actually, now I need to rethink getting headers. Have you tried it with the headers and the cattman catback? It will probably be loud but it could sound really goood. Loud is not always bad if the tone is a pleasure to listen to and its relativly quiet while cruising on the highway.

The reason his is loud is because he has a test pipe.

With a stock b there is no way you could tell anything had been changed.

Hmm, your setup is similiar to mine...except the gutted cat versus my test pipe...how about your warpspeed bpipe? does it come with a resonator? My cattman bpipe comes with a large resonator....other than that, our setup is the same, and should sound very similiar if u ask me....

I'm definitely interested in checking out your video though...lemme know when you get it up Van!

hmm, it should sound similiar to mine then...i mean the only difference i see between ours is your gutted cat versus my test pipe...and i don't think a gutted cat would make it that much more quieter?

oh well, awaiting more comments

Sounds pretty good, steven88.

I have Hotshot Headers alone with stock exhuast after the headers and I think it sounds pretty good also. I just recently added a midpipe from Berk with my JWT popcharger that I had previously and now it sounds incredible at WOT. I love driving and looking at the people's faces full of shock when I pass them with that sweet sound. And my car sounds stock-like when cruising normal which I like.

I completely agree I have cattman headers with i/test pipe, stock b pipe and with my hks it is fken loud! That drone drives me mad I always end up shifting at like 2k rpm to avoid it gettin too loud.(steven88 has heared it) I hate it so if i have time this weekend im putting on my stock muffler. Btw how hard is it to try and change the muffler on jacks?

you have a stock bpipe? hehe, didn't know that

it's kinda difficult to change the muffler...only becuz you have to jack it up real high...and wiggle the muffler's piping over that suspension member...

I only call it stock because I hate having to say "custom" but yeah I had an exhaust shop make me the piping from test pipe back ( I couldnt stand having that crush that the stock piping has)

It took 45 minutes to swap mufflers from my car to my cousin's car. We used a jack with a 24" lift height and 2 jack stands. 4 bolts for the flanges, two nuts for the hangers and 4 slip on hangers (combined).

Its crush(boo hoo hoo) it ran me like 80 bucks at the time. I just could not stand to see that huge crushed thin pipe above the crossmember.
