Cattman Exhaust ?????
Cattman Exhaust ?????
I recently put the the cattman exhaust in max 02 but there's a rattling noise, spoke to Brian from Cattman he said to change the original hanger, I went to this Nismo place out to long Island and they said the Nismo hanger isn't going to stop the noise and claim that the muffler isn't meant for my car, they seem to be a lil shady to me so now my question is what must be done in order to eliminate that noise. PPPleeeaase HHeelp cause that noise is driving me crazy.
put some hose clamps around your stock hangers...that will raise the piping of the exhaust...and it won't bang against your cross member anymore
if that doesn't help, then its hitting your heat shield near your muffler...the only way to solve this problem, is to remove the heat shield completely...

definitiley look to see if your cross member is the problem. if its the smaller cross member you can just remove it.
sometimes the pipe also sits too high and hits the top or sides of the exhaust tunnel. thats what mine was doing but it was more of a clunking noise that i could feel as opposed to a rattling noise. a rattling is more than likely what steven88 said, a heat shield.

I recently installed my Cattman and I also had a rattling problem. It turns out it wasn't the exhaust itself, but a problem caused by the idiots who installed it for me. The problem was my rear sway bar. When the exhaust was installed, the mechanics bumped or hit the sway bar which moved the brackets just a little bit on the frame rails. This caused the sway bar to be too close to the rear axle. The sway bar was bumping off of the rear axle over every little bump. I removed the sway bar and all the rattling went away. I didn't need hose clamps or any messing with the cross member pieces.
If you don't have a rear sway bar, then never mind and try the ideas already mentioned.
