oil cooler?

im eventually going to have my oil filter adapter installed, so my oil pr guge will actually do soemthign besides light up. my spacer has several more "ports" to attact more sensors. i was thinking of adding an oil cooler.

does anyone have one insatlled on a 5th gen? if so whats kind and where did u mount it. i was thinking the best place would be under the battery tray where that big white intake thing used to be, seems the safest place. i have yet another cai on my car and i dont have that plastic thing anymore. does that seem to far away. id have to have more than 4feet of oil lines under there, is that too much for the pump?

i dont want a cheap (obx)brand cooler, but id rather not spend 350bucks on one. any insight would be awesome.

also would it be better to get one with a fan? i dont run my car that hard, but soon (hopefully) ill have my eu all hooked up including a 7k+ redline, id like my oil to be as cool as possible.

also i cant seem to find any info on this. does the cooler have to be a certian height in relation to the oil pan. im gonna try and make it as level as possible, but im not sure how spot on ill be able to get it.

sorry for alll the questions, but i figure soemone on here would know.

Oil cooler is not really needed on a Maxima, oil temps only get high when you do lots of high RPM driving- like in road racing.

Its best to have a oil cooler with a built in thermostat that opens at a set temp. You do not wanna have too cool of oil flowing through the engine as it can sludge up the motor and cause more wear on the engine also. I belive Stillen sells a oil cooler with a thermostat.

3.5Ls have a oil cooler that just runs engine coolant through what it looks like a oil filter adapter, this works pretty good but its not enough for a track car.
