retroed ebay lights ....jacked!!!

this is a new twist on the "they stole my headlights threads".
I woke up last night to my alarm going off, looked out the window and saw two guys running from my car. got dressed went down stairs to find one headlight missing and the other one broken sitting in front of the car. the ballasts are tucked away deep in the engine compartment, so they fukced the bumper and fender and ruined a good set of RX330 retroed headlights, for a $40 set of bulbs and 2 ignitors that have maybee a $50 resale value.
I am so ticked ..... going back to stock halogen, i cant deal w/ this crap

man, im sorry, i know you put enourmous amounts of time and effort into that. theres no way to protect something like this either, its too easy and too fast for them to get it done.

That really sucks Dr.Roy, are you just going to use OEM's now? or just stock lighting in another set of projectors?

Doc - Sorry to hear about the bad news. On the brighter side, no one was hurt and your alarm did what it was supposed to and you caught the ****** f-ers running. Some people just wake up and their gone.

Again sorry to hear about that.

That sucks man... the projectors do look like HID lights to people who dont know maximas except for the lights. How about the stock 2k with a projector? Those look pretty close to stock right? But I guess better to play it safe than sorry and go back to halogens all together.

Damn. This is some Bull$ish we go through. As everyone here is, I too am sorry to hear about this. I also know what a pain it is dealing with the sucky output of our stock halogens. But its the price we pay to sleep comfortably. Damn...

I feel your pain. It's a shame we can't have anything nice without worrying about people stealing from us.

Sorry to hear about the theft. I know you can easily replace the hedlights, but do you need to take your car in to have the bumper and fender fixed? Oh yeah, file a police report too.

Sorry to hear that story......you did a nice job on those lights. Like you said, it's not even the $$ value, it's the time and effort you spent getting it just the way you like it. I hope those guys get burned one of these days.
