So I have this missing "chunk" of leather from the front drivers seat. Its on the side closer to the door, retangular-probably about 4''x2'' What can do to fix this. I know there are thing out there to fix tears but this is a missing piece. Where can I ge the actual material-the leather is tan, dealer maybe? Should I just get the entire seat replaced?

Yeah, that is considerably a big tear. The leather repair kit gives you somewhat that size in the kit. I doubt if you can get anything from the dealer. If you want to save money and repair the tear yourself, you can buy the kit and go from there. The kit has paint for you to mix and match the color of leather. Being that it's the driver's seat, only the driver will be aware of it, so it will only be seen by the driver. Maybe check a local junkyard for a whole replacement of the seat if you want to go that route. Good luck!

ya know what, I got the same dayum problem with my driver seat too. About the same size chunk of leather missing from mine too. I owned the car since new and slowly realized this leather just coming apart after a few years. darn nissan leather ( well at least the driver seat ) I too have tried the repair kit and the patch that I used had come off after a few months, but I will be trying to repair it again real soon before the whole seat starts to peel off!
