Removing K-Sports Help

Alright yall...im removing my ksports. i had a friend install these for me but im gonna take them off myself. The fronts should be easy since its a direct swap. But for the rears...will i need a spring compressor? thanks!

You dont need a spring compressor to take the mounts off the rears (or the rears off the car), but you do need one if you want to reuse the mounts for a spring/strut setup

Correct, you'll have to compress the OEM springs to get the mounts back onto the stock struts.

or my friend did once just got two people to push on the springs just enough to bolt down the mounts. so when i remove the ksports i wont need to use a spring compressor?

That works too.

Correct, to remove them from the car you wont need a compressor.

aww, too stiff for you?

jk

the fronts just unbolt and you can take them out.
rears you can unbolt and remove as well. but just spend $30 at the dealer to get new top-hats so that you can put them on whatever spring/shock combo you are going to replace with so that it's 10X easier.

it cost $30 for both top hats? i may just do that and save myself the hassle. so then i wouldnt need to mess with removing the rear top hats? so all id have to do with the new top hats is just put them on my stock suspension setup w/o spring compressor and slap them on my car? thanks!

Just to clarify, $30 PER top hat, you need one for each side...~$60
