Do you still need MCA1? ANd do you have the program disk?
BTW the disk i have is for a infiniti QX4, does the maxima use the same nav system?

Also, I have a question about the newer map CDs - I know they're updated with new streets and locations, but what about old streets? My house was built in the 60s, its on a county road, but the county road isnt even on the map. Would this be considered a "detailed area?" Could it possibly be on a newer CD than my 5.3 disc?
(Either way, Im still in desperate need of an MCA 5.5 disc... Anyone??)

PM me your email address and I'll hook you up with an MCA9 version 5.5.
Also, I haven't used my MCA9 yet, but Im moving to Atlanta in 2 weeks - anyone know how detailed the 5.5 version CD is? I'll be living in Acworth and I'm hoping its got more roads on it than my maps for South Bend, Indiana.

There are a few of us discussing swapping BACK-UP copies of the OEM Navigation CDs in the 5th Gen For Sale section of the .org. The goal is for everyone to get a full set, or at least the CDs they would like to have. If done right, everyone should be able to get all CDs they want.
So, please post the region you have here. Once a list of who has what is established, we can then start swapping back-up copies of the CDs to one another until everyone has all of them. Most of the "back and forth" parts can be done via PM so your address won't be on the public side of the .org.
Below is a map of the regions.
Barc
MCA 8 version 5.3
MCA 9 version 5.2
Please note, these CDs are for BACK-UP purposes only and SHOULD NOT BE USED. It is the responsibility of the person with the back-up copies never to use them.

Just a heads up for those of you looking to stay current with your nav systems past 2005. I got sick of knowing my nav system is an aging dinosaur (CD-ROM) and decided to piece together a mod around this since Zenrin and Infiniti suck.
I purchased the following devices... Pending installation..
AT&T fuze with video out option (displays all screens except TF3D on TV-Out) + video out wire (needed).
Tom Tom 7 Navigator 7 with updated maps (2007-2008 woo hoo!)
A video - RGB convertor to tap into the Nav screen with a toggle switch and 2 inputs (Optional inputs PS3 - Reverse cam).
I will post results once everything is in....... Again this is just a heads up to provide an alternative for disc swapping 2005 maps and wasting $100 for 5.5 sets (see newb posts above).
Wish me luck...

Hello
Hi Everyone, I am new to this and am looking for disks MCA 3 & 5 but I would like to have the whole set. I have older versions of 2,4 and 9 for trade or I am willing to pay for copies. If anyone out there has the complete set and is willing to sell email playnmusic1@aol.com.

OK, ya know what - this is so insanely unorganized with all of us asking for random ****. We need to actually create a site or a sticky post with downloadable navigation discs so this monster 14 page thread can end.
My Idea:
Megaupload.com works great for large files. I say, anyone with a navigation disc of say 5.3 or newer should upload their CD file to megaupload.com. Once uploaded, you'll get a link to your file in your own email - post the link on here and we can arrange them into one post and then have it stickied at the top of the 5th gen Max and I35 forums.
Is anyone else interested in this idea?

Hi everyone, first time poster here. I moved recently from the south to north-east and discovered that my nav system is useless. I have MCA 9 (it says X5.0 on the CD which I'm guessing is version number) and it seems I need MCA 7 and possible MCA 8. Is there anyone that can help? I'm willing to pay.

Again, would anyone happen to have an MCA9 disc?
I'm not picky on what version, I just really need that disc. I moved to Atlanta last week and it would be very helpfull to have the maps for that area.
Thanks!
Zach

How to share a CD image
Here is a quick (Windows) howto on ripping a CD and posting it up on the web.
If you don't have any CD ripping software one of the easiest is http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Here is the tutorial on the ISO Recorder: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/HowTo.htm
Once you have ISO file of the CD, zip it to reduce the size by right-clicking on the file and choosing Send To --> Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
Now go to http://www.megaupload.com select a zip file you just created, put in a file description and you email address (you'll be emailed a link) and click on send.
Once upload is complete you'll get a link at the top and also in your email that you can share with people.
