Problems tinting back window?

Anywhere here have problems getting their back windows tinted? The shop doing mine said they weren't able to get the tint to stick on the dotted area near the top of the window. I haven't seen how it looks like, but was wondering if others had the same problem. Also, does anyone have close up pics of the tint on the back window? I'm a little skeptical as to how it'll look..Thanks.

That is a problem. Tint will stick to it but it will peel and look like ****. The thing that alot of people do on acurazine is get black vinal and put it where the rear window matrix is. then tint the reast of the window.

Yeah, the guy tinting it recommended getting a black vinyl strip, but I wanna see what it'll look like before. So if anyone has pics of that, I would appreciate it.

the top part has dot matix. the tint will stick to it and not come up, but it has the apperance that it's coming off. i have a product called dotrix that makes it completely black. i can get some photos posted up later of it for you. mine was a 40 dollar extra option but it cleans up the tint very much. check americanfilerfilm.com they might have it up, but it's a brand new product. like it just came out like a month or two ago.

That site doesn't seem to be working right now. How does it work? is it something that goes over the tint on the dot matrix area or does the tint need to be cut off right below the dot matrix and the dotrix continues from there? I would appreciate the pics, thanks.

Too late for another shop, I'm gonna look into the dotix product that xlcrew is talking about, and if not that, I'm just gonna get a vinyl strip.

sorry the web address is americanfilterfilm.com it might not be up yet. the way i got is that guy that does tinting in my shop is in really good with top people in the tint world. the way it goes on is that it goes on the dot matrix, and then the tint is applied from there down on the back glass. like i said i'll get you pics when i get off work around 6 to 7 tonight.

I told the tint guy to do a strip of vinyl across the dots, but he didn't do that... It looks OK, you can tell the tint adheres more in scattered spots.

*edit* Don't have any pics of the back window that show exactly what I'm talking about. I'm debating calling the shop and having them put vinyl over it and remove the tint there.
