How To Make Your Headlights Clear Again?

I read awhile ago that somebody bought some faded, yellow headlights and cleaned them up to clear again. Can anybody lend advice on how to do that?

I've used the Meguiars stuff but I noticed that the haze usually comes back. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Sand with 800 grit, 1000 grit then 2000 grit, then polish.

I have used both plasti-x and plexus. After researching in the detailing forum I found that they were what most used. But I am always disapointed when the haze comes back after just a few days.
