What happened to the Green??
What happened to the Green??
Been through the entire Picture Thread and half of Cardomain and I've seen minimal amount of Hunter Green (Metallic Green.. whatever they call it) Maximas. None on the board and 2 on Cardomain. I take it this wasn't a popular color.
Reason I bring this up is because I just put a deposit on a Green 2K SE fully loaded. Was just looking around to get some inspiration and such. Well on the plus side, it's a rare color and I can have one hell of a unique car when I'm done with it. MY last Max was the VERYYYY Popular Sterlin Silver Mist. Love the color but it seems everyone, thier grandma, baby momma, babby daddy, jump-off and attorney has that color.
CLiffs:: Anyways, who else on the org has a Green MAX?

I've seen a couple Black GXE : bleh, for sale I would have loved to have a fully loaded Black on Black SE/I30 but I think I'll be just as happy with Green. I like not being one of many.
And you are right about the Green in the 90's. Almost EVERY 4th Gen max I see around is dark green.

SO now that I've got one of the very few Greens out there (until everyone and thier mom gets into it in 3 months.. watch, always happens. lol j/k) I'm deciding how to make it stand out .... in a good way, not a rice way. In anyones opinion, how would GOLD rims look on this color green?? More so these?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-AD...spagenameZWDVW
I like mine. I don't have any new pics but only visual mods are the tint (which is a weird two layer combo that came out looking pretty cool, not reflective but not black. Can't see inside though), 03 headlights, and the massive drop thanks to S-techs/Illuminas. Too bad it's been parked for 3 weeks and will continue to sit in the garage for the time being.
Oh yeah.. Of the few I see on this board and car domain, mine is one of the even more rare with a 5 speed AND fully loaded.

yeah you do, white hids everything compared to green, any dark colored car is going to show any dirt, ESPECIALLY BLACK. Swirl marks are hard to find on an off white car to, people with white cars and silver cars have it easy.
Silver IMO is the easiest color to keep clean. White highlights all the mud and dark dirt (if that makes sence) and Black, like you said highlights all the swirlies, pollen, crap, etc. etc.
Back to the second question at hand. How would Gold rims look on green, and would I need something else to be gold to accent it? (Succer for color matching and such.) Any ideas welcome. Photochop even better.

glad you like it. my car is also a fully loaded 5 speed. the only thing i'm missing is the navigation, but i don't believe that was available in 2000. i love the color, to me personally it's the best looking color on a 5th gen

I love it, it's shiny and still lustrious, it's a pain to keep up the color cuz I live in the SW where there's a lot of dust and rain, not a good combo to dirty up my car

Honestly IMO i think gold rims would look absol. hidious on a green maxima. there were some greens with maxima and se markings were gold then aight, but gold is ewwwwwwwwww.......and 2001-2000 were the only years with this color, then they changed it to the ugly tungsten blue EWWWWW.....
That car is nice but you need eyelids or something it looks a lil naked
Yeah, Nissan did away with the green colors on the Max's. Must not have been a popular color of choice among consumers. But, I had a '95 Black Emerald which was a great color. The only way you could tell it was green if the sun was directly hitting it on a very bright day. Most people thought it was black. I think Nissan should bring this color back, and offer better color choices like the Infiniti's!!
