Gun Metal 17" Stockers *pics*

Well, after armor all did a number on my stock rims, I decided to do a little experiment. What do you guys think? I'm still debating on going back to stock won't be too much extra work because I only did two wheels..

any full side profile shots? Kinda looks like primer through my computer, but that also might be lack of light reflection on the wheels due to the picture itself.

I'd have to see it in person, Pri. Looks like it may be too dark for your already sort of light accented car. How do you feel about it?

they look like they're permanently dirty. I'd say try and go back to stock color. Either that or apply 1 or 2 more coats of paint and throw a clear coat on it (if you haven't done so already).

Another org'er has painted his wheels gunmetal too, but they were darker and on a black max.

put clearcot on. i think they will look a lot better than this dull gray paint. the clearcoat will bring a lot of the lustre of the gunmetal paint out.

i think this is true to an extent, mine always look dark and shiny though, never a dull light gray.

This is an exactly correct statement. I put 4-5 coats of paint on and then 3 coats of clear coat and there was a large difference between the two. The clearcoat defintely adds to the "shimmer" of the gunmetal.

actually took it back to stock color...didn't like how it looked on a sterling mist. definitely suits a darker colored max better.

I think the gunmetal would look sweet on a white. I love white maximas....or dark blue. I'm tired of cleaning the black every 5 days.
