Slow to crank...

What's up folks? I don't post on here to much but have found this a very valuable site for information. Well, the last couple of days my car is very slow to start. I turn the key and it cranks real slow like the battery is almost dead. The lights inside the car or headlights seem as bright as ever. Could this be a starter problem?

TIA

I've been having the same prob over the past few weeks. But, today it got worse. I came out and it didn't start at all. I had it towed to my local mechanic and he's fixing it tomorrow. I'll let you know what it is when it's fixed.

If I were you I'd take it to autozone and have them test the battery and alternator - both free services. Definitely worth a try.

Probably the batteries. You can lose crank amps and still have the voltage you need to turn on the headlights.

When my starter went out it was like that at first and it kept getting worse, i checked my alternator and battery and those were fine. 2 Days later the starter finnaly just crapped out where it wouldnt even work if i hit it with a hammer.
