Anyone have pics of their cargo net installed?

My buddy just gave me his, I can't figure out which hooks connect where in the trunk. (I've got all the mounting clips with rings already installed). Anyone have a detailed picture?

(I did a search, all the picture links were broken)

Thanks!

this thread is pointless. Just install it how you would like it installed, there's no specific rule on what to do in this case. Mine's actually setup like a little basket and i have my flashlight, some tools, and empty CD cases in it so they don't slide around. If you look, i'm pretty sure there's some additional hooks just under the lip of the boot where you can attach it and hold cargo up more in between the wheels. so it's up to you.

OK, thanks for your help, however every way I try, it's either stretched out too far or it's too loose. No configuration I use is allowing me to get that basket that you have, so perhaps a picture will help if I'm missing something.

Anyone else?

The two hooks that are group closest to each other should match with the two rings that are below the access area of the tail light. Once you figure that out you should no problem figuring out where the other two hooks go.

Hah. Not quite what I'm looking for. I am certain that is not the correct way to do it.

Thanks Tim. I came across that thread when I searched, but it still didn't tell me which hooks on the net went to which hooks in the car.

I consider myself pretty mechanically inclined but this ones got me stumped

you clip all three hooks to the one hoop on each side. the shorter one keep the net in two seperate side with the elastic in the middle as a divider

No sweat. Looks like that's a picture of an Altima, so the other pics on that thread might illustrate the locations better.

actually, his pic is the correct way to install it (or at least one correct way), which is why there are clips on the top of the trunk to hold it. Holding all the gear in the middle of the trunk keeps hard objects fromhitting anything....

I have a G35 cargo net though, so it attaches differently But when I had my Maxima net, that's how I had it attached.

I like the way I have it - although no doubt there's different methods. This way is good for putting groceries in and you don't have to "open" up the net to get at anything. Depends what you're putting in, and if you need to conserve space in the trunk I suppose..

it should probably be up against your trunk-lid like that Aliti. that's how the 6th gen goes. I tried to stretch it across the center at first too, but no go. asked dealer and they were confused aswell. I saw another trunk the right way and told them.

sometimes i'll take a side one and make the center one longer to create a divider diagonally or across for groceries.

oops...
oh yeah, i have hooks on my nets so i can combine them. i recall 5th gens have loops, sorry. but all 3 nets are supposed to be flush against the 3 walls.

I didn't find any of the configurations useful, so I packed mine away and just put my stuff in custom made boxes.

I'll see if I can snap a shot tomorrow of mine - I'm pretty sure it's the way you're looking to install yours.

Or you can take it to the dealership and let them install it correctly for you for a very low price! Holy sheet man, I couldn't help but try to get in on some of this pointless thread for a frikin cargo net! Try our newest web link Cargonets.org! You can be the first member!

Like I said, I am pretty mechanically inclined, but there was something I was inherently missing when attempting to put it on. I've since figured it out (thanks to the people that actually did offer suggestions), but thanks so much for your help.

I like the hammock style. You can lay out all your shotguns in it nicely. I'm gonna try that.

There is no real way to set up. Just hook up the ends and you're all set

Ours was hooked right next to the opening - handy to store stuff we always kept in the trunk.

I'll post pictures when I get a chance, I figured it out once someone told me the extra elastic was a divider.
