Warranty upto 160k?

Guys, I'm considering upgrading the 2k GLE to a 2k3. Was considering a lease on a 2006 but the interior was a turnoff for me.

The thing I want to ask, is like Acura, does Nissan offer an extended warranty that can be purchased while the car is still under the original factory warranty? (60 or 100k)?

Thanks

Yes they have an extended warranty you can purchase..I think up to 100,000 miles. I don't think its a 100,000 mile warranty. If the car has 60,000 miles then its warrantied for another 40,000

That's true. I extended mine and I was expecting to get an additional 100,000 but no go. Remember also that the time frame can become before the miles do, as is in my case it is good to 100,000 or 7/2008. I only have 55,000 on my car after four years, I am never gonna hit the 100,000 first before I do the date. Bummer.

My girl just got an 02 altima with that deal. They actually send you paperwork and you get another paper signed by the dealer when you buy that says that car is certified and everything. Its a warranty TO 100,000 miles but for her it was a good deal since it only had 36k, and its 3 years from date of purchase.

You can buy a warranty through a third party. You don't have to buy a Nissan warranty.

Are those any good? I thought the third party warranty was just what the dealer tries to sell, when its not certified, to make extra money at the close of the sale. And then you get those letters all the time in the mail trying to sell them

I've had over $2,000 in repairs and haven't paid a dime. In fact, I'm going tomorrow to get a coil replaced in cylinder two. The warranty has paid for itself and then some. I only have 3k more miles left, though.
