Which glasspack for resonator?

Ok here is the deal... I've got a ypipe, and a flowmaster muffler. An exhaust shop is going to charge me $175 for a custom bent 2.5" cat-to-muffler exhaust (since my muffler is only a year old). My question is... what glasspack should I use to replace the resonator? They said that the Thrush is a good one... but I've heard otherwise here on the org. Let me know what you guys think would be good... I know a couple people here on the org use cherry bomb & flowtech red hot.
Thank you.

(The reason I'm having this done... is because I already have a leak at the flange that connects the muffler and bpipe. Not just doing it on a whim!)

Scrap the resonator. Run a straight pipe from the cat to the muffler. You'll get better exhaust flow without the resonator.

I've heard sound clips without a resonator... sounds kinda civic-like. Bees in a can.

Oh lol my bad. Yeah get it. It has a perforated core so it is free flowing.

I asked them what the difference was between a glasspack, and a resonator... they said nothing as long as it's used in a system with a muffler

Yeah, most glasspacks have a luvored(spell?) core and that restricts flow.

I've have luck with the THRUSH glasspack as well. One thing I did do is paint it with high temp paint just to prolong it's life. They are known for rusting prematurely.

That stuff doesn't protect for very long. It seemed like the THRUSH I had with high temp paint lasted much longer than the one I left alone.

It also looked better when it was silver. Cause you know everyone's looking under your car.

Is this on your max? What is the rest of your exhaust setup? Sound clip?

With a magnaflow XL and no resonator it sounds V8'ish, no bees in a can or ricey sound at all.
