Does your windshield washer spray a single stream or mist?

Does anyone know if our windshield washer nozzle is suppose to spray in two single streams? Because my roomies' 325i and his gf's Mazda6, AND my rental 06 Maxima SE all spray a wide "mist" onto the windshield. I hate the two single streams because if I have some dirt say on the far right or left side, the washer fluid doesn't even come close.

5th gens and I30's/I35's like yours spray single streams. Some people have gotten the Murano nozzles for their 5th gens, which spray the mist.

Quite frankly, nozzles right on the wipers = rock! My Infiniti has it like that, so does the G35 and M35.

I installed Murano sprayers, which spray in a fan pattern. I'm gonna go back to the stock sprayers. It'll work on a Max, but I think we have more curve in our hoods side to side. They don't really sit flush on the hood (yes I tried to trim them) and the fan pattern isn't even across the windshield, but it is better than the two stream.

I'm wondering what the 06 Max sprayers look like. Didn't know they had fan pattern sprayers.

My nozzles do not spray in a single stream. More like a fan shaped stream, but the fluid gets on the entire winshield.

I have the Murano sprayers and they fit fine, assuming you dremel down the little tab on the inside.....they also get the entire windshield with the spray...

Did you look carefully at the underside of your hood?

I've never done it but I can imagine how the swap out would go...

1) disconnect the tube from the nozzle.
2) carefully remove nozzle.
3) replace with new nozzle

now this is the one that people get stuck up on:

4) RECONNECT the tube to the nozzle..

For the guy that can't find where his vacuum/water tube connects to. have someone use the sprayer while you look under the hood. you should see where the spray is coming from and quickly determine what the hose should connect to.

no, thatll only show him that the hose hes already seeing is indeed a washer hose.

it may be under the hood insulator. if you take a look where the nozzle is on the topside of the hood, itll be on the same place on the underside, so you might be able to sneak it on without removing anything, or you might have to remove the hood insulator.

I found these types would always freeze up in winter. The hose is too exposed to the elements. Much better to keep everything under the nice warm hood

LOL, I figured the black tube he was seeing was coming out from the hood, and he did not know where to connect it to. Now the problem makes more sense. do as BewstAdd1ct said.

stick a straight pin into the hole and you should be able to aim it.

I agree. I had a Grand Am and the thing always froze with -45 fluid. Had to run inside get hot water and pour it over. Getto but it worked haha.
