ECU not saving?

Well I found out that the problem with the idle air reset not keeping is because the ECU wont save the settings. Although an ECU reset will successfully clear the code. Im slightly confused so any help is appreciated.

What exaclty are you saying/asking?

How do you know it's not 'keeping'?

i mean that when i do the idle/air relearning procedure it works perfectly, the idle drops, everything is pretty. but then later when i turn the car on again, the idle pops back up to its origional 1100 or so. its like it never saved it when i performed the procedure and went back to what it was before

So you have a high idle even when the car is at operating temperature? My car idles @ 1000-1100 every morning, until I get to operating temp..then it sits @ 675.
