The title says it all. What it the fastest 0-60 time for a maxima ?

 

I have seen anything from 6.0 to 6.3 for a stock 5.5gen 6sp

 

But what about any boosted max ? do you think a very fast maxima can do like 0-60 in 4.5 - 5 second ? I know Mardi is running 11's in the 1/4 miles I'm wondering what kind of 0-60 a max with FI can do ?

 

There is the Excel program that you can put the numbers in from the time slip and can calculate the 0-60.

 

I'm sure it has a lot to do with tires and suspension. HP as well but 0-60 is really achieved by getting plenty of traction.

 

What about altitude ... AKA ambient conditions.

 

I wonder what the fastest 0-CEL time is.

Oct 2002 Car and Driver, 2003 6 speed: 6 seconds. There drivers seem to achieve faster 0-60 times than most other magazines.

Real life times are 99% of the time faster than mags....

My car goes to 60 so fast it cannot be calculated.

 

Their's are essentially calculations because they compensate for elevation, ambient temperature, humidity, grade, etc.

 

My car takes 12.4 minutes.

 

I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time, 0-60 doesnt interest me

 

So what turbo is better for my skyline a gallo 16 or a gallo 24?

0-60 times don't really mean much if you can't get the traction.

a much better indication of how much power you're putting down is 1/4 mile time and trap speed. also 60' times are helpful.

 

Well I was just curious to know who has the fastest maxima for that aspect. I'm not interested by the stock numbers but rather by the time & spec of the fastest 0-60 maxima.

This afternoon I was driving in my friend's 1969 camaro, a 454 V8 with an automatic 6 speed tranny, that beast is throwing 725HP, I mean he can smoke pretty much any car on the street. That's a really fast car he's got, but the guys is really cool and nice and not an a$$ at all. Anyway my maxima will never be that fast, but 20 000$ later, it will be significantly faster than when I bought it in october 2000.

I pulled a 3.2sec when I put Seafoam in my tank.

 

IIRC the fastest roads near Montreal are 90km/h (55mph or so)....so you shouldn't need to go 60mph

 

As retarded as it is to even give this thread a semi serious answer, probably slightly under 4 seconds


I'de have to look at mardis 60 ft times to get a better idea but I am sure they are pretty damn good.

 

Please provide more information on this 6 spd / automatic tranny mated up to a 454 in a '69 Camaro. This I have GOT to see.

 

with a sc,all the pipes,intake,and a buncha other **** + slicks id say the maxima could be a 10 second car

When I bought mine the dealer told me that nissan claimed it was 5.9 on the 6spd

This car costed 70 000$ to build so obviously a 6 speed auto tranny must have cost a lot $$$. If you think it's BS, well then that your problem, I couldn't care less.

 

I don't know if you knew this but those magazines don't really calculate 0-60 they really calculate about 5-60 because their timers don't start till they have been rolling for a few seconds, the fastest I have gotten in my Maxima is a 6.4 0-60 on my G-Tech Pro RR, but that was also pulling out sideways onto the highway.
