Getting rid of pre-cats

on my 2k cali-spec, I am getting the p0430 bank 2 catalyst... so I am going to get an o2 sim, but I would like to eliminate the pre-cats also, would a y-pipe eliminate the second pre-cat? and how do I get rid of the first one?
I have this picture to go off of : http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/...TIFICATION.htm

b1 precat would be elminated. in order to get rid of b2 youd have to get headers

You can also get a Fed spec manifold off a 4th Gen or 2000 to replace the B2 precat. Btw, this won't gain you much hp if that's what you're looking for.

Here's a link to what Desert Pearl did:

Or you can just get some aftermarket headers as posted above.

Just get the y-pip which will illiminate one precat, then take out the other one and knock out the center of it. Its probably all busted through anyways

yeah I am getting the Bank 2 code, so I figured one of the precats was shot, I wasn't looking for HP, I just wanted to take what first seemed like the easier route to the P0430 pre-cat failure code. I am also getting some rough idling, and assumed that maybe it was due to a backpressure issue from the precats being gone? or maybe its just on of the three rear coils I havent upgraded yet...

i was getting the P0430 code. I got a y-pipe and cleared my codes. It came back a few times then dissapeared for awhile, but I think its back again now. I'm pretty sure its just the sensor is bad, because with a y-pipe you have 2 sensors on the same precat and only one of them is throwing a code.

think a bad precat could cause a rough idle almost like a misfire?

Cattman and Hotshot are the only ones worth buying.... and maybe OBX. The others aren't worth the install time and effort.
