ES Sway Bar Bushings == 2002 SE

So, I switched out my bushings yesterday for the ES sway bar bushings and noticed something...it seems the OEM bushings are polyurethane. In fact, they look exactly like the ES ones. So, are they the same? If so, what is the benefit?

They should not look the same - if they do then the previous owner probably already swapped them out. The factory ones are rubber with a steel sleeve and are much softer than the ES ones.

Sounds like you swapped them out for nothing

I am the previous owner, bought the car new. The OEM ones in my 2002 SE look exactly like the ES ones. No steel sleave and not made of rubber.

Even polomax's website does not show a steel sleave...not sure where you received that info.

Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you were referring to the shifter bushings - my bad.
