What is the best set of springs out there for the Maxima's? I want to maintain the ride quality, but I also want that aggressive look! Whats the price range?

How much do the shops charge to install the springs on these cars?

Do you need shocks or caster/camber plates?

I have eibach springs on my GLE. It does the change the ride a bit. It feels a bit firmer and stiffer. I paid $185.00 for the springs and installation.

If you want the same ride quality, go with H&R, if you want a sportier ride go with eibach.

okay, i'm hearing different things. i called into shox.com and asked for some help deciding between pro-kit and h&r's.
what he told me was that along with lowering the car a smidge more, the h&r set would yield a stiffer, sportier ride.
is he referring to something other than what you guys are talking about? or is just mixed up?

also, what's a good price for a set of tokicos? shox.com is quoting me at $301
good? bad? ugly?

First of all, FAQ-U. Lots of info there.

Secondly, the rep from Shox.com has it backwards from what the .ORG members have been saying...

H&R = slightly lower drop, less performance, more stock ride.
Eibach = more even drop, more performance, harsher ride

Finally, $301 for Toks was pretty much what I paid at Shox.com so I can say that it's the same sale price. It's pretty good IMO. Good luck.

I've ridden in cars with both Eibachs (mine) and H&Rs (Tim/Wustylez). I can tell you that my springs are MUCH stiffer than his. Also... if you go H&Rs I don't think there is much need to replace your struts and if you go eibachs, you'll probably want Konis rather than tokicos. There are no 5th gen koni's available but kev put 4th gens on his with a little work.
