The past few weeks, every morning when I start my 02 maxima it makes a high pitch noise that seems to come from the fan belt. It lasts a few minutes until it gets warmed up and then no more noise. Anyone have any idea what the deal is?

 

I think your belts might need to be replaced. I curbed the changing of the belts
for a good year, by spraying belt dressing to the belts. Quieted them up pretty good.

Just last fall, I changed the belts since there were some cracks.

Go out in the morning inspect the belts make sure there ok then start the car with the hood open & slightly tighten the idler pulley a half a twist should stop the squeaking.

 

inspect the belts to see if they are cracked. if they arent, then they are just slipping. apply some belt dressing to fix the problem and prolong the life of the belts

 

they might be loose try tighten them and add just a little belt dressing, also they might need to be replaced..
