But no instructions, since this is a real easy mod. lol . Anyways, they look pretty good on a black car I would say... I did 3 coats of 1200 degree temp paint, and 1 heavy coat of clear coat.

I also had a flat this morning so I got that fixed when I rotated today, but the idiots at the place who fixed the flat, scratched my wheel and wouldn't do **** about it. I have no idea what to do, its barely visable. They also dropped my wheel face down on a dolly!! I freaked, but it was okay from that no damage. Just a small scratch from there machine on the lip. Bastards.. Oh well!

They really look good! but I thought you were only allowed to use blue paint to do the calipers...so they'll match the Stealin' RSB clamps.

You should have painted them yellow.

Remember, yellow = fast.

I painted mine blue. I think I didn't do a good job because it's starting to fade.

Looks sharp!

Let us know brand of paint and where you got it. Thanks

What colors do people think would look good on a Sterling Mist? Red pokes out to much for me. Looks great on black though.

Looks good, Russ. You need to buy yourself and tire patch kit from the auto parts store and repair the flats yourself. They are really simple to use, cost about $6 to repair about 6 tires, and they work. It's the same thing the shop uses. I've repaired a flat on my old 17, my fathers Tahoe, and my wife's Altima. I keep the kit in my car because its something you can fix in the middle of nowhere as long you got a pump.

Everyone:
The paint can be purchased at the auto store for about $4. Just use a engien paint rated to 600 degrees plus. I painted my calipers 2 years ago with black hi-temp paint. I simply brushed it on and it's done fine. I'm gonna paint them metallic silver. It took me about 1 hour to do it all.

Thats awesome, before I do it to myne I'm still kinda skeptical about how it will look after some use, red looks hot in my opinion, but remember yellow, orange, and hot green mean fast lol

Now black calipers would look hot on a Super Black 5th gen. Poll- Black or Silver on a Super Black 5th gen with 17s?

Why have black on a 5th gen that is black already? You won't be able to see the calipers at all then.

You are right, I just looked at my car and decided to paint the calipers silver. Now, can I buy this paint at Pep Boys? Where did you get yours, RussMaxManiac?

So what color calipers for...

Icelandic Pearl? I don't want anything too "garish", but I want something that will still look cooler than the standard metal.

Suggestions?

'01 SE, Icelandic Pearl, Frost Cloth

I'm deciding between blue and silver. Both will match the color theme of my car but silver will be much more inconspicuous. If you're willing to go blue, consider red also.

Another Mod done! Painted Red Calipers...

Love the red calipers! I'm tempted to do the same on my Gray Lustre SE but I'm wondering - when the pads have to be replaced or when any other brake work is done (like rebuilding the calipers), will the coats of paint make it difficult to get parts off (like the pads, clips, retainers, etc.)? Any thoughts?
