You should have him. It'll be a little closer because you're both auto but you should get him.

Is the Passat the new 2001.5, or just the 2001? There is a significant difference. Is his car the v6 or 1.8t? If it is the 2001.5 you could have a very close race on your hands.

Well I think the Passat had 190 hp to you 222 hp.
Pump your tires up a little and it shouldn't be close.

It will be close. He's has a 5 speed auto, which helps a ton. If you shift manually, you'll edge him out. The VW tiptronic shifts right a redline in auto mode. I wish we had that.
