does the max have enough space under the hood to run a turbocharger?...since turbos are much better than superchargers

I think someone has a turbocharger in their 5th gen. but it was probably a lot of work.

Yes, the 5th gen Max does have enough room to fit a turbo.

3rd gen turbo: TurboMax
4th gen turbo: Turbo95Max
5th gen turbo: Eibach's Maxima

Would anyone else like to add (or be added) to this list?

Yes Kev...

This is a list that I plan on being on as soon as it is possible. The nitrous and turbo combination on the max would be unbeleivable. If only I lived somewhere that people had the know how on something like this, I would already have a turbo. D@MN REDNECKS!!

They were using 100-150 shots of NOS in the movie and that was with almost completely rebuilt engines with superior parts. The stock Maxima's safety margin is 80 shot or less I believe.

how come the 4th gen can run a turbo without blowing the enigne....and why does it happen with the 5th gen... the engines are similar. What exactly happened with the Eibach Maxima which caused it to blow?....how much psi was it running?...is there an article on it anywhere?....

we.. no one ever said there weren't anyproblems with the 4th gen running boost.. it could be possible that the eibach max was boosting too high without proper engine reinforcements.. matthel would know better about this..

you can do a low boost turbo setup and still be very very realible...no overboosting. in my opinion a supercharger is safer because the user cant go crazy and accidently blow his motor cause he wnated to see what 20psi would do...

Turbo95Max doesn't need 3rd or 4th gears.

what all is needed to have a "sufficient" engine to run a good amount of boost? what do u have to replace/reinforce? Do they even make the necessary components yet?

1) Depends what you think needs improvements
2) Everything that's weak
3) Nope... find people that will customize for you

I wonder how much quicker it would be if you can do that. ..... but I think that turbo is too small and won't be effective at that rpm. Try one of 'dem BIG turbos (Supra upgrade).
