so my service engine soon dummy light came on while i was on the highway

the car runs great and it just got an oil change. it has 67k miles, the only thing i ever did to it was oil changes every 3k

the mechanic said 2 codes came up "pending" and somthing else related to a possible gas leak

he said my cap to the gas tank was loose and that could have been the problem, or i might need my 02 sensor replaced

anything else i should look out for? its a 2002 6 speed

It might mean you got a SNAKE in you motha-f&#^%&g gas tank!

 

Without knowing which codes are logged, we really can't tell you anything useful.

 

Tighten your gas cap, reset the ECM, then wait and see of the light comes back on. If so then post the codes ( :

Chances are you got an air leak when the gas cap was loose and it will throw a code for a leak. Just tighten it down, clear the codes and you are good to go.
