N1 Style exhaust that doesnt sound ricey?

Haha before you flame me read this, then you can flame all you want... Most of you probably think im smoking crack or something but anyways. My girlfriend has a 2000 v6 camry with what im guessing is an N1 exhaust and i was following her yesterday and when i first saw it i thought it would sound all ricey and what not but its was really deep and throaty, loud but for some reason i liked it, dont care for the tip but does anyone think they know why this would be? Oh yeah btw she really doesnt know much about cars, her brother basically mods every car they have. Anyone know why it sounds so "good"? Cause i would like to get that same note.

Flame on...

a 94-96 v6 camry....5spd sounds Sick.!!!
alomost like the "91" supras....

but i still wouldnt get that exhaust for the max....it WILL sound different.
as for toyota, nissan, and honda hav different engine technology therefore it will most definately not sound like dat.
BUT u could always chance it and stick it on there. u never kno it may even sound better than the Cam

Its too subjective of a question. What sounds non-ricey or good to you may sound ricey to someone else. Even "deep and throaty" is different to different people. Just go with something that sounds good to you.

It was almost the same tone as an inline 6, like a supra or an IS...

just wondering....out of all the people that responded to this thread, do any of you own said N1 exhaust?

because I do....it's loud as f**k, but sounds awesome. it's very deep and sounds mean. i've even gotten compliments from the American Muscle guys around town about how good it sounds and how they would have never expected an import to have that sound. only thing i have to add is that i do have FULL exhaust done i.e. hi flow cat and headers/y-pipe.

Why are you getting so defensive? No one was criticizing how it sounds...

I had a real Apexi N1 exhaust catback custom made for my Maxima 5 years ago. It lost alot of low end power due to large diameter piping 2.75" because of the NOS I was spraying. It sounded like ****. VQ30 does not sound good with anything but Cattman and FrankenCar exhausts, everything else sounds raspy.

V6 Camry sounds pretty good actually, bout 8 years ago a friend of mine had a 94 Camry XLE V6 with a completly straight piped exhaust with no mufflers but a large Brospeed 5" graphefruit shooter tip. And Belive it or not it sounded great, wasn't even all that loud. I remember 10 years ago modifying a import wasn't like it is nowadays..... there where less rich lil asian kids riding around in Civics thinking they own the roads.

did you buy the ebay one? Do you think you can get sound clips up?

Im pretty shure if i went with a fully freeflowing exhaust mine would be really raspy because i have a y-pipe and a test pipe already.
