Clear to black 00-01 tails?

I've done searches, so if I missed something I sincerely apolagize... but I've been reading up on the amber to red converstion for 02-03 tails... is there a reason that this wouldn't work for the 00-01 tails also? I read in a thread that some people just took the bulb out and sprayed.. any reason this wouldn't work for my 00 SE tails? I'm wanting to tint the clear part from the inside with Niteshades. If anyone has done this... please post pics or let me know how it turned out. Any pro's or con's on this mod would be great. Thanks

yes u can spray the white blinkes on ur taillights to make them look all red just spray lightly and use thin coats so that the paints doesnt run abnd clump... but the easy fix for that would be to pour in paintthinner and rinse out ... so good luck post pics when ur done

That would be the way to go if that's your car in your avatar. It would match your headlight set up. JMO

i freakin love that look. Did you buy the tails like that, or did you mod it somehow to get rid of the red?

I thought the law was it doesnt matter what color the tails are as long as you have either a red or yellow flashing turn signal, and red brake lights. what about the new accords, dont they have all clear LED tails that light up bright red for brake lights? IIRC, there are some cars like that, not saying you are wrong but i thought there was a little more tolerance to the law, i do know clear bulbs are illegal, and wont pass inspection

the new accords have red tail lights o_O the new rx330 or 350 have those clear tail lights but they also have red reflectors on the back so as long as you have some sort of red reflector in the rear should be ok i think.

btw i just got my black se tails today i've always thought it was black but it's really kinda like see thru dark smoked or something =/ looks cool tho can't wait to get them installed
