I want your WHEELS!!!
#1
hey guys,
i need to replace my tires on my 3rd gen. instead of buying new tires, i want to purchase someone's wheel/tire setup from a 5th gen max. i want the 5 spokes pictured below. i figured i could buy someone's fairly used tires instead of purchasing new ones, and in the process, dress up my 3rd gen a bit. like i said, i need new tires, so the tire tread has to be pretty decent. i dont want to have to replace the tires any time soon. im not opposed to shipping, i live in massachusetts. my zip is 02760. feel free to post here or email me personally at walker_chri@bentley.edu
thanks

Re: I am contemplating
Fair price as in what the dealer charges (not fair) or fair as in what they have sold for on the .org. I too have been looking for a set of 17" oem's. Rubber optional.

selling my wheels and rims as a one stop deal. I am curious as to what would be a fair price.
I have a 2001 SE with the 17" rims and tires with currently 5309 miles on em. Anybody give me a fair price?

Fair is in NOT what a dealer
would charge. I have heard anywhere from 350 - 550 for a single rim. Highway robbery. Plus being on the forum, I am not out to rip anybody off. Share and share alike I always say....
If someone has a fair offer, then I will be game.
What I do need to know is specifically what are the factory size rims/tires. I am looking to get 17 X 8 and wonder if the stock tires can be moved from factory size (?) to a 17 X 8 rims size without any problems. I do not want bigger rims and would prefer to keep the stock crappo tires for the time being. Keeps the cost down for everyone.

Re: Fair is in NOT what a dealer
Yeah I know dealers are crooks. 17 x 7 I believe is what the stocks come out too. There where lots of people wanting to know what rubber will fit on the stocks. I'm not sure if stock tires will fit on 17x8 though.
