Brake HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPP..
First, just so everyone knows, I used the google search and added forums.maxima.org to find a solution and came up with nothing. I tried going through some pages here but this is an active forum and I couldn't find anything on this. I know it must have been discussed before but please help me out.
On my 2k Gxe the rear brakes are sticking. I mean they are really holding on there. You can feel the car being held when driving. There is also an electrical burn smell after driving and the rear wheels heat up. At first it was on the passenger side only but now both sides. The fronts are okay. Here's the thing. I think it happens after I have the e-brake on. It's an auto so I hardly ever use the ebrake. But for about 24 hours the e-brake was left on while it was parked on an incline. I think the ebrake is what is not releasing properly. Any other suggestions and general help will be appreciated.

I know the 4th gens have big problems with rear calipers sticking. I assume the same applies to 5th. Autozone sells both sides loaded with pads and brackets for like $130.
It could also be your e-brake cable sticking. what i'd do is try and get it to stick and then unbolt the e-brake cable from the caliper. If the brakes still stick, its the caliper. If they dont stick, its the cables.
Where in queens are you? I have a great mechanic in Elmont that has worked with people from .org before.

Have you heard of Maximum Tuning. I don't have any personal experience with them but according to what others say, they seem to be the best in NYC area.
