red overlay for the SE tail lights

i'm going to be installing those 00-01 black se tail lights soon on my white car. i think i might get those red over lay tint things from bluebatmobile. you guys think it look good on the white maxima?

stock...



with red overlay (i photoshop it hah)



sorry if this car belongs to someone here...i just borrowed it from cardomain to see how it'll look

which one do you guys prefer? i haven't seen much people do the overlay thing.

Ive been thinkin of this myself but painting from the inside...It did'nt occur to me to overlay it with red high adhesive tape GREAT IDEA!!

actually this overlay thing is made by blue batmobile i think. i was searching and that thread came up which made me want to make it red too

i remember reading one of those threads and they say it won't work for the 02-03 tail lights. the overlay is big or something i guess it's just easier to paint them or something.

oh ya btw i just sent my check to blue batmobile. it's $15 for the red overlay

No thank you. I'd stick with stock. Rather than have two different shades of red on my tails. The stock white/red looks alot better than the red/different red/white IMO, , but to each his own.

I have been looking for a pic of 5th gen with a lip spoiler forever. Is that your car?
How does it hold up? I heard that its imposible to keep it on.

^^^ I got it at www.paradox-systems.com . Make sure they give you the right length. Mines was too long, had to get it cut. As for staying on, I still haven' t had a problem (5 months thru car washes and everything). Just make sure the surface is really clean and maybe use some 3M adhesive promoter..
