clear side marker question

was just wondering, how many of you have put that layer of silicon or whatever that stuff is, around the lining to prevent uhm.. that stuff that builds up in there. And if you have done it, do you do it for the front AND the back? or just the front?

Only have the fronts and I did them. If you are going to get front and rear clears, you should do them since you're replacing them anyways.

whats it called? and which section in an auto store can i get them? i saw a huge tube of that in speed world on queens blvd but i dont wanna go that far

...to prevent condensation

my front passenger side marker had it, i put some silicon around it, and it seemed to fix it. i dont know how the water got out, but it did.

look at RussMaxManiac directions for installing the front and rear clears. i am pretty sure that he mentioned something about silcon.

i like the fact that i came up with the whole silicone idea but i got no credit for it... but its ok.. i dont even have clear side markers.. hehe

Silicone just isn't working for me... I did it 3 time already but I still have condensation building....
I don't want to have to go through another pair but it looks like I have no choice...

Make sure you use enough silicone.. Once the water gets in, It takes forever to disapear...
